5 Practical and Budget-friendly Ways to Jazz up Your Wedding Venue

A wedding does not have to be too expensive to become luxurious and memorable. You just need to keep your imagination working and make use of your creativity to jazz up your wedding reception without breaking your bank.

I have been writing, reading, and thinking about all sorts of wedding-related subjects a couple of times a week and suggest ideas on how couples can make their own wedding a unique one based on my own perception, expertise, and research. But I failed to realize how hard and expensive really it is to plan and prepare for such a big event until I experienced it first hand.

Having been through the entire process by myself, I learned and realized a lot especially when it comes to how you can make the most out of a small budget. One of my realizations is that a wedding does not have to be too expensive to become luxurious and memorable. You just need to keep your imagination working and make use of your creativity to jazz up your wedding reception without breaking your bank. Here are a few amazing pocket-friendly ideas you can use in your wedding.

Dress up your chairs with cheap chair cover

Having a hard time thinking about how you can make your chairs look beautiful and presentable? Well, covering your imperfect and dull-looking chairs with elegant chair covers will not only make them look attractive, but it will also make your guests feel more comfortable sitting on them. Aside from hiding your chairs' imperfections, chair covers can likewise instantly transform an ordinary looking reception venue into a luxurious and sophisticated one. And the best thing is that chair covers are really cheap.

If you think you will use the chair covers again in the future, you can buy them wholesale. Otherwise, you can opt for wedding chair cover rental.

Hang multiple paper lanterns

Paper lanterns are among the most widely used cheap reception decors. Though they seem too familiar, it is still possible to hang a couple of them and still make your venue look unique and sophisticated. The key is to hang more than usual. Instead of hanging just around 10 to 20 lanterns, try to make it 50 to 100 depending on how huge the room is. This simple trick will surely make a difference. Plus, paper lanterns are relatively cheap.

Use scented candles

With just a small budget, you can easily jazz up your venue by using a couple of nicely scented candles. They will not only lit up the room, but the scented candles' nice aroma also offers a romantic vibe.

Use some fabrics to decorate your venue

The right choice of fabric can go a long way. You can hang a tapestry to make a creative accent wall or hang some lovely pieces of fabrics on the wall to create an instant wall art. You can also drape the ceiling with white fabric to achieve an elegant and regal effect or perhaps opt for bright colored fabric for a more lively and fun vibe.

The good thing about using fabric to adorn your reception venue is that you can save much on table decorations. Even with less table decor, you can still achieve a soft and intimate atmosphere by using the right fabric.

Use fake flowers instead of the fresh ones

Fresh flowers are very lovely but they can also be really expensive. If your budget is too tight but you really want to achieve the effect that fresh flowers provide, you can use fake flowers.

You can find a lot of easy to follow do-it-yourself tutorials online. Just choose which one best appeal to you. Most often, fake flowers are made from papers, coffee filters, tissue papers, parchment papers, and cotton. You can then spray a flower-scented air freshener around the venue for a more realistic effect.
